Our client, a major international airport authority, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Aviation Security Specialist to enhance and oversee the comprehensive security operations within the airport environment. This critical role demands a deep understanding of aviation security regulations, threat assessment, risk management, and the implementation of effective security protocols to ensure the safety and security of passengers, staff, and aircraft. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring security policies and procedures, managing security personnel, and ensuring compliance with national and international aviation security standards.

Key responsibilities include:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining robust aviation security policies and procedures in accordance with ICAO, IATA, and national aviation security regulations. Conducting regular security risk assessments and threat analyses to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies. Overseeing the screening of passengers, baggage, cargo, and personnel to prevent unauthorized access and prohibited items. Managing and supervising a team of security officers and support staff, ensuring high standards of performance and professionalism. Developing and delivering security training programs for airport staff, airline personnel, and stakeholders. Investigating security incidents, breaches, and anomalies, and preparing detailed reports with recommendations. Collaborating with law enforcement agencies, intelligence services, and regulatory bodies on security matters. Implementing and managing access control systems, CCTV surveillance, and other security technologies. Conducting regular audits and inspections of security measures and facilities to ensure compliance and effectiveness. Developing and managing the airport's emergency response and crisis management plans related to security threats. Ensuring the highest levels of security integrity and operational continuity. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications in aviation security (e.g., CATSA, TSA, or equivalent) are highly desirable. A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in aviation security, with a strong background in airport operations or regulatory compliance, is mandatory. Proven experience in security management, risk assessment, and personnel supervision is essential. Excellent leadership, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills are paramount.
