Our client, a major airport authority, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Airport Operations Manager to oversee and optimize daily operations at Ibadan, Oyo, NG . This critical role ensures the seamless and safe functioning of the airport environment, managing a wide array of services including ground handling, airside operations, and passenger flow. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aviation management, exceptional leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of airport regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all day-to-day airport operations, including airside, terminal, and landside activities. Ensure compliance with all national and international aviation safety and security regulations. Develop and implement operational procedures and contingency plans for various scenarios. Oversee the performance of airport staff and contracted service providers, ensuring service level agreements are met. Monitor and manage airport capacity, traffic flow, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency. Liaise with airlines, air traffic control, security agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations. Respond to and manage incidents, emergencies, and disruptions effectively. Conduct regular inspections of airport facilities and infrastructure to ensure safety and operational readiness. Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing measures. Prepare reports on operational performance, incidents, and key performance indicators. Contribute to airport development and expansion projects from an operational perspective. Foster a culture of safety, security, and excellent customer service among all airport personnel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., AAAE, IAP) are highly desirable. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in airport operations or aviation management. Demonstrated knowledge of airport operations, airside management, and aviation safety/security protocols. Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in airport management software and systems. Ability to work under pressure and manage complex situations effectively. Understanding of regulatory frameworks governing airports in Nigeria and internationally. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by airport operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Experience in crisis management and emergency response planning.
